Coaching has been such a rewarding experience for me, in that; the new discoveries are refreshing, allowing me to be more open, and in-tune with myself. It helped me the most by providing concrete strategies to accomplish my goals, a sounding board to share my thoughts and challenges, and accountability to ensure I accomplished specific tasks. Because I really didn’t have any expectations going in, it was a wonderful experience! GH, Baltimore, MD ~

Alicia was supportive, thoughtful, caring and firm. The accountability piece of the coaching was needed and with her encouragement, it helped me stay focused on my goal of going back to college. With her assistance, I decided on the program and college I wanted to attend. She made me feel comfortable in discussing my goal and her suggestions were helpful. I also felt she was committed to my success. You couldn’t ask for a better coach. ~ SM, Baltimore, MD ~

Alicia aided tremendously in my character development. In learning to deal with setbacks and challenges through re-framing and taking action steps; she helped me get past the frustrations and obstacles. Alicia is a true inspiration to people with a weight problem. I know how hard it is to lose weight, but the real challenge is to significantly change your lifestyle so you keep the weight off. Over the past several years, I have struggled to keep off a 130 lbs. weight loss. Alicia has continued to support me and sets an example that I hope to one day emulate. It has been great to be able to talk to someone who understands what I go through. ~ LK, Columbia, MD ~

Alicia helped me to develop a plan for my career advancement that also included returning to school. She encouraged me to participate in activities within my company so that I could gain exposure and supported me in joining a committee that utilized my skills and talents. I was looking for a resolution of anxiety I had about my coaching business and its future. I was expecting to come out of coaching with a more optimistic and positive attitude about my business and with much less negativity. We worked diligently and quite successfully to resolve my issues and I reached a breakthrough, which brought me a very new attitude toward my future.
I was particularly strengthened by (Alicia’s) utter acceptance and empathy. I never felt threatened, angry, hurt, or upset in any way during coaching, even when I was being challenged to change. Alicia was consistently supportive and managed to facilitate change in my life while remaining always kind and compassionate. Another excellent aspect of Alicia’s coaching was that she knew when to stop and ask me what I needed and wanted from her. This gave me the opportunity to clarify my needs to myself and to her and helped keep our coaching process on track.
About half way through our sessions, I suddenly reached an epiphany about myself and my business that altered my approach to, beliefs about, and attitudes toward my coaching from ones coming out of fear and doubt to ones coming from strength and confidence.
When I started coaching with Alicia, I was a little concerned about the fact that she is a born-again Christian. My own prejudices made me believe that she might be intolerant of my Buddhist beliefs and possibly might even try to change them. Nothing could have been further from the truth. She was completely accepting and supportive of my own spirituality. I never felt uncomfortable talking to her about my spiritual practices and beliefs. Her openness made me realize that I was harboring stereotypes about Christians—I was the one who was being close-minded, not her. It also made me realize that, just as Alicia can coach people no matter what their spiritual backgrounds, so can I. ~ JJ, Minneapolis, MN ~
