What is Coaching?

Coaching engages individuals in a thought-provoking and innovative process, inspiring them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaches help you to discover solutions and strategies by building upon the natural talents and resources that you already have in order to obtain a fulfilling life. We focus on the here and now and creating action to get you moving forward. We support you with attaining your dreams, bringing to light what is holding you back, and moving beyond the obstacles that prevent you from achieving your goals. Coaches get results!

Coaching is unique for each person and tailored to best suit your needs. It may involve a combination of goal-setting, strategizing, focusing, encouragement, celebration, and personal development. Coaching is stimulating, challenging, enlightening, motivating, inspiring, and uplifting. Coaches also provide accountability, direction, focus, validation, and even a sounding board in a guilt-free, supportive environment, where your personal well-being is top priority. We are your advocates, cheering you on toward your desired future.

Coaching is about you! It helps you to be who you want to be, do what you want to do, and go where you want to go. Coaching brings out the best in you!

The Process

The coaching process is simply the way that we exchange information and is the means to help you optimize your potential to ensure you reach your destiny. Most coaching takes place conveniently over the phone. Each session will involve four key elements: listening, questioning, acknowledging, and providing feedback.

An action-oriented style that combines a strong support system, incremental goals, and a systematic process is the key for making successful lifestyle transitions that not only realize, but sustain results. Here are some possible steps that we will take to get you where you want to go:

  • Discover what is important to you, clarify your values, and pinpoint what you really want to achieve.
  • Create a vision of your ideal self and devise a reminder to keep you focused.
  • Develop a personalized plan to help you accomplished your health and wellness goals.
  • Enlist people to join your support team and help keep you going.
  • Consider developing a spiritual connection for inner strength.
  • Determine and attack obstacles toward your achievement.
  • Use “SMART” goals to create a strategy and break it down into manageable pieces.
  • Celebrate each milestone along the way.

Alicia is a true inspiration to people with a weight problem. I know how hard it is to lose weight, but the real challenge is to significantly change your lifestyle so you keep the weight off.
